A hingeless garlic press, which is the whole point of it: there are no pins, hinges or hooks for anything to catch in, so it rinses clean under the tap instead of needing a pick and a fight. That is the usual complaint about a garlic press and this one does not have it.

Mince peeled or unpeeled cloves in a single press. The oversized basket takes several cloves at once and separates the skin for you, so garlic never touches your hands or leaves its smell behind. Squeeze gently and it works as a crusher; squeeze hard and you get a fine mincer. It handles ginger just as well. Dishwasher safe, and covered by a lifetime warranty.

    Solidly made.

    The press is very solid and cleans up well in the dishwasher. However, it comes apart easily when opening . It might just take some getting used to over time.

    The simplicity is the best part. The basic science and design make it so easy to use in a rush. It's nice to be able to add fresh garlic if I'm just boiling up some instant ramen on the stove. Pop a couple cloves in and have it cleaned before the noodles are done.

    One of my favorite kitchen tools.

    Best garlic press ever designed. It's extremely sturdy, enough to last a lifetime. No pins or hinges to break. Strong stainless steel, won't bend. The size is great, able to fit multiple small garlic cloves or even the largest cloves. It's dishwasher safe, although I usually brush it first to make sure there are no garlic bits stuck in the holes. It's easy to squeeze. I love that I can use the top piece to scrape garlic off the bottom into the pan, and then the leftovers into the trash without ever getting my hands dirty.
