BBQ Cleaning Brush Combo

This is a high quality BBQ cleaning set. It came nicely boxed. the packaging hints at the quality of the product inside. The handle is easy to switch out. I love how the wire brushes work on the grill plates. Gets them super clean in a jiffy.

So the positives first:

It's really well made. The steel is fairly thick and very sturdy, and it functions very well (about as well as any grill brush will function). I have zero doubts about this having a far greater lifespan than any other grill brush I've ever owned.

Now the negatives:

I dont like the handle being shared. It's not really that much of an annoyance in practice, it just snaps off of one and on to the other. There's very little loss in stiffness overall from the connection (though there is a bit of play, I'm being really picky even mentioning it). The reason I don't like it is that I'm fairly self-aware in my mid 50s. While I'm certain this brush will last a very long time, I'm equally certain I'm going to misplace the handle attachment and never find it again...probably sooner rather than later.

Used last night on my charcoal kettle grill grates the metal one got the remnant old stuff off after initial heating and then I went over it w the red pad I didnt find the sides of the red pad notches to help any further for other small remaining bits - those came off with a second wire brushing after about 5 more mins of heating and before I put the food on to cook. The handle is easy to change from one to the other but will prob just keep it on the wire one and use the red pad without it if it came with 2 Id have one on each, but it doesnt so the red pad alone without an extra handle worked fine for me:)

he handle has two different attachments. They fit tight on the handle. The wire brush has three rows of bristles and worked good on both stainless steel and ceramic coated grates for me. I tested the fire resistant sponge and it is indeed made of nomex or similar fire resistant material. The stainless steel is high quality and looks even shinier than in the pictures.

Very heavy duty cleaning brush. The wire brush has three separate brushes on it that are close together and do a phenomenal job of cleaning a grill grate. I haven't found the steam pad to be very useful, but perhaps that's what I cook on my grill. The one drawback is that there is only one handle for the two devices and so you have to switch it between the two. It's not difficult to do, but if you're trying to steam and then scrub and steam and then scrub, it is frustrating.
