Aside from the instructions saying nothing about actually tilting the piece at the top to hold the whole thing into place, it did actually do the job. Also, I had a hard time getting the cork out until I switched hands and somehow I was able to find the right way to turn it to release the cork. Definitely not something you want to try to do for your first time when already intoxicated

I finally gave myself a chance to try this garlic press, and I'm glad that I did. We've gone through quite a few garlic presses over the years it seems like; the presses we've had in the past just wear out too quickly.This Garlic press I believe will be different as it seems to be made of very good quality material. I very much like that you have two options - one to slice and the other to dice. I'm not sure we've done much garlic slicing, but this will increase our options as it won't seem as tedious as using a knife and that close to the fingers. The slices seemed to be the perfect thickness. The dicing was equally simple and did a wonderful job. As long as you're doing just one clove at a time, it has great ease of use and you do not have to apply very much pressure. And unless you are making a huge vat of something for a crowd of people, there is more than adequate space in the box that comes with it for catching the garlic. And you can even just set it in the fridge if you didn't use all the garlic right away.
Overall, we're very pleased with it and look forward to using it long into the future.

This vegetable peeler is simple but really well designed. It’s extremely sharp and glides through potatoes, carrots, and fruit skins with almost no effort. The one piece stainless steel build feels sturdy and balanced, and there are no joints or gaps to trap food, which makes it easy to clean. Being able to peel in both directions is surprisingly handy and works great for left or right handed use. It’s also dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup even easier.
