This Stainless Steel Meat Tenderizer Tool is perfect for the job. It feels sturdy and robust. The grippy handle ensures it won't slip out of your hand. It's the perfect thickness and a great size for whatever you want to smash with it. Cleans well, too.

THIS is a fun little tool & works as it claims. I use garlic every am. Nice to just grab a clove & not peel. Tried fresh ginger too (doesn’t claim to do ginger) but a no go. Still easier to hand zest ginger for morning applications.
