A very well built peeler that is more expensive without improved performance

This is an okay peeler. Better than average, even. Pretty good. It has heft to it. Feels well made. I expect it will last a long time and hold up to many many cycles through the dishwasher without rusting. I have no complaints in this regard. I have two other complaints. First, it isn't the final solution to your peeling problem as the product listing would have you believe. Watch the video. The peelings get caught, just like they do in every other peeler I've ever used. You have to clear them from the blade before you can continue your work, and this slows you down. Is it quicker than peeling with a knife? Probably. But trust me, the fruits and vegetables do not undress themselves in the presence of this peeler. You still have to work for it. It does shave off nice, thin layers, resulting in minimal waste, but no more so than other peelers I have used. We have one in our kitchen that we bought for something like 5 or 6 dollars, and honestly, this one is no better. It feels better in the hand, but I have trouble justifying 25 more dollars just to use a tool that feels better without actually performing better. Which brings me to my second complaint, the price. 30 dollars is a lot to spend on a tool like this. Admittedly, it is well made, but aside from the aesthetics of it, there is no real practical advantage to owning it. I almost gave it 3 stars, but I gave it 4 because I will confess, it is solidly built. It feels like a quality tool in your hand. If they'd shave ten bucks off the price I'd give it 5 stars, but as it is, I don't think it's really all that great of a value for the money. My opinion.

Razor Sharp and Kitchen-Ready

This peeler is seriously sharp — in the best way. It glides through veggie and fruit skins effortlessly, making prep work so much quicker. Honestly, it feels like a professional-grade tool.

That said, I’m wearing my cut-resistant gloves until I get fully used to it — it’s that sharp. Definitely a great addition to the kitchen if you want something that performs well and feels built to last.

perfect peeler

I love this peeler. It's so nice. First, I love the stainless for the entire thing. The blades are sharp. Unit is well balanced and feels nice in the hand while using. Sharp tip is great for getting out cores or bad spots. Because it's stainless, it's super easy to clean. So, easy to use, easy to clean, nice and sharp, I mean, really, you can't ask for more than that in a vegetable peeler.

Sharp and durable kitchen essential

This peeler is ultra-sharp, making quick work of potatoes, carrots, and apples. The seamless one-piece stainless steel design feels durable and easy to clean, plus it’s dishwasher safe. It’s comfortable to hold whether you’re left- or right-handed, with a smooth grip that doesn’t slip. The blade peels in both directions, adding to functionality and ease of use. For durability and value for money, this is a kitchen tool you’ll use daily.

Takes getting used to

This is an elegant vegetable peeler — who would ever think I’d be writing that phrase? It’s sleek and beautifully designed, and crafted of high quality stainless steel. The elegance and quality come at a significant price for what is usually a common, inexpensive kitchen gadget. The peelers I’m used to don’t have a fixed blade set like this one. For example, the Oxo peelers I use most have a blade that’s mounted between two fasteners, and the blade pivots back and forth as you use it. The dual blades on this peeler are quite sharp, but they are a fixed, integral part of the gadget and don’t pivot at all. This is taking me some time to adjust. I like to go back and forth when I’m peeling a carrot or cucumber, but the fixed blade requires me to think through the action and consciously change direction rather than doing it automatically. I’m impressed with the sharpness and how cleanly it peels, but still on the fence about whether this is an improvement or perhaps a design error. Elegance is as elegance does after all.
