This vegetable peeler is simple but really well designed. It’s extremely sharp and glides through potatoes, carrots, and fruit skins with almost no effort. The one piece stainless steel build feels sturdy and balanced, and there are no joints or gaps to trap food, which makes it easy to clean. Being able to peel in both directions is surprisingly handy and works great for left or right handed use. It’s also dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup even easier. The handle feels comfortable and gives a good grip even when wet.

sowohl was Material, Verarbeitung und Funktionalität angeht, als auch beim Preis.
Das Material: Edelstahl.
Er liegt gut und massiv in der Hand, ist aus einem Stück und bietet somit keine Angriffspunkte für Wasser oder Rost.
Die Klingen sind fix (und nicht beweglich, wie bei manch anderen Sparschälern).
Und genau: es gibt 2 Klingen.
Somit kann er sowohl von Links- wie von Rechtshändern verwendet werden.
Beste Ergebnisse erzielt man, wenn man mit gleichmäßigen Zügen in eine Richtung schält und auf viel Hin und Her verzichtet (dabei verklemmt sich leicht Schale zwischen den Klingen und es geht nicht wirklich weiter).
Die Klingen sind sehr scharf und das Schälen geht sehr leicht von der Hand.
Keine Ahnung, wie lange sie so scharf bleiben und ob man sie dann nachschleifen kann.
Ein wirklich guter Schäler zu einem stolzen Preis.
Ob er den wirklich wert ist, wird die Zukunft zeigen.
Empfehlung, wenn man bereit ist, etwas mehr Geld zu investieren.

This easily peels a thin layer so you’re not throwing much away with your peels. The blade is on the opposite side of how most peelers are set up so it feels a little awkward to me. I think I will get used to it though. I didn’t notice a tiny bit of rust starting to develop on the peeler. I did put it in the dishwasher so you may want to hand wash to avoid this issue.
